About Michael Nguyen, DMD

Dr. Michael Nguyen is the youngest of four brothers who grew up in San Jose. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Davis and completed his dental degree at Midwestern University in Arizona.

Dr. Mike's passion for dentistry ignited on a dental expedition trip to Liberia, Costa Rica, where he provided free dental services, supplies, and knowledge in underprivileged and impoverished areas. Two health expeditions later, Dr. Mike found himself at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, where he completed his masters in biomedical science and his doctorate in dental medicine. He loves dentistry because it afforded him the ability to empower and lift people up with his knowledge and clinical skills. He enjoys the teaching and teamwork aspects of dentistry, where he can help make his work environment and experience creative, collaborative, and fun. He finds joy in education, relationships, and community. He believes that is what dentistry is all about, and that's why he loves it.

In his spare time, Dr. Mike enjoys playing basketball, hiking, and camping in national parks. He is a huge Bay Area sports fan. He listens to podcasts and reads books by life performance coaches like Tony Robbins and Tim Ferris. He is known as “Uncle Michael” to two beautiful boys, Dat and Hunter, and one mischievous dog named Basil.
